What is the VSPSU
The Mission of the VSPSU
The VSPSU concept is to, in time, become a separate and independent labor union offering membership and benefits to Virginia State Police sworn employees of the ranks of Sergeant, First Sergeant, Assistant Special Agent In-Charge, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lt. Colonel and Colonel.
Currently the VSPSU is chartered by/through the VTU. The VTU will organize and support VSPSU members until the VSPSU is capable of self chartering through an international union(s); if choosing to do so.
The mission of the VSPSU is to be a highly ethical, nonprofit, sworn employee’s labor union, sponsoring Departmental change in order to better the professional and personal lives of Virginia Troopers and to voice and promote positive change regarding job-related issues that affect employee welfare and Departmental mission accomplishment.
