The VTA Board of Directors
The Virginia Troopers Alliance (VTA) officially formed on January 1, 2006 as the Virginia Troopers Union (VTU). On August 25, 2006 the Virginia Troopers Union was renamed the Virginia Troopers Alliance and expanded its membership to include all sworn Commonwealth of Virginia law enforcement and investigators as a part of the Virginia State Law Enforcement Alliance (VSLEA).
The VTA is Local 5220 of the International Union of Police Associations (I.U.P.A.) and is the current organizing body of the VSLEA.
